Be prepared to work, to sweat, to hit a lot of balls. The results have been great, I cannot stand my old clubs now, the ball feels dead. This isn’t smoke and mirrors, the fitting process works.

Training and Club fitting

Philosophy: Enable “deliberate practice” as the most effective training method.

We focus on “The Six Most Important Shots in Golf” from the “80/20 Rule.” If you master these six shots, you will cover 80% of the shots you encounter in a typical round.

  • Driver off the tee
  • Seven foot “scoring” putt (and 30 foot approach putt)
  • 100 yard “scoring club”
  • 150 yard approach iron
  • 190 yard long approach (fairway metal, hybrid or long iron)
  • Greenside wedges

Our training program starts with evaluating individual performance statistics with each shot and establishing a “starting level.” From there, specific drills are aimed at “leveling up.”

“Level 10” performance is defined by PGA Tour statistics collected by Shot Link.

“Deliberate Practice” is defined as executing a succession of drills with the goal of improving measured results from session to session.

Deliberate Practice is facilitated with dedicated launch monitors behind each practice tee at C2C. Players can follow “self-directed” programs or participate in structured radar-based training with C2C staff coaching.
